DescriptionGrade UE- 48882 per annumCollege of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine / The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies / The Roslin InstituteFixed-term: 18 monthsFull time: 35 hours per weekWe are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in aquaculture genome to contribute to research elucidating the functional basis of disease resistance in aquaculture species.The Opportunity:We are looking for a postdoctoral research fellow to perform both in vitro and in vitro CRISPR / Cas9 genome editing experiments aimed at increasing resistance to pathogens in aquaculture species. The post is within Dr Tim Beans research group at The Roslin Institute University of Edinburgh.The successful candidate will be expected to have a PhD or be near to completing a PhD in a related field (i.e. molecular and cellular biology immunology) and will have experience in genome editing using CRISPR/Cas systems. This post will offer the opportunity to work in the rapidly developing field of aquaculture genetics and genomics.
