What you'll do:

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth running of our client's finance operations. Your primary focus will be on Accounts Payable; however, your responsibilities will extend to other areas of finance when required. You will be entrusted with processing invoices and credit notes for various companies within the group, ensuring accuracy at all times. In addition to these responsibilities, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to wider finance operations tasks such as Accounts Receivable, Banking, and Treasury.

* Process invoices and credit notes across multiple companies within the group

* Maintain the accuracy of the purchase ledger

* Prepare and process supplier payments, ensuring all payments are signed off by a senior Finance Manager

* Liaise with suppliers and internal staff to resolve queries and problems

* Ensure all accounts payable activities comply with relevant financial policies and procedures

* Investigate and resolve outstanding creditor items

* Support the wider finance operations team as required, including Accounts Receivable, Banking, and Treasury

* Produce and maintain process notes and procedures

* Work closely with each department of the sports divisions as a key point of contact

* Assist in meeting business goals by maximising personal skills, knowledge, and experience

You will thrive under pressure, consistently meeting tight deadlines without compromising on the quality of your work. Your ability to work collaboratively within a team environment will contribute to achieving team and department objectives. Your logical thinking and basic analysis skills will enable you to carry out tasks efficiently.

* Previous experience working within Accounts Payable is essential

* Excellent attention to detail and workload management skills are required

* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to achieve objectives

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

* Proactive and able to work independently
