A prominent main contractor with a strong pipeline of new work in the area is looking to add a Site Engineer to their team. The gap has arisen as a result of having recently promoted one of their existing team, opening up a similar opportunity for someone to join.
Job Description:
As a Site Engineer, you will be integral to the successful delivery of this high-profile RC Frame project. Your technical skills, precision, and dedication to excellence will ensure the project meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control: Overseeing the quality of work, including concrete pours and reinforcement placement, to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Setting Out: Whilst most setting is carried out by subcontractors you will occasionally be required to carry out some setting out in line with design drawings and specifications.
- Site Management: Supporting the Site Manager with daily operations, coordinating subcontractors, and managing site logistics.
- Health & Safety: Implementing and enforcing health and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Problem-Solving: Quickly identifying and resolving technical issues on site to prevent delays and ensure smooth project progression.
- Documentation: Keeping accurate site records, including daily diaries, material deliveries, and quality control documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in site engineering, particularly with RC Frame structures.
- Proficiency in using setting out instruments (Total Stations, GPS, laser levels, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and health & safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
- CSCS card and other relevant certifications are advantageous.
