Grantrow Recruitment are looking for a Democratic Services officer based in Rugby Benefits of a Democratic Services officer20 days annual leaveExtended Christmas and bank holidaysCompany pensionParking on siteCompetitive SalaryDetails of a Democratic Services officerHours of work: 37 hours- Monday- FridayPay Rate: £250 Per DayDuration: Temp on GoingLocation- Hybrid RugbyResponsibilities of a Democratic Services officerServices meetings of various Committees, Panels, Working Parties and other meetings by the electronic preparation of agendas, reports and minutes.Undertaking work arising from meetings assigned, including correspondence, reports and liaison with officers of other departments and outside bodies in implementing decisions of meetings.Indexes Council, Cabinet, Panel and committee minutesResearches legislation, circulars, reports and other publications and prepares draft reports as directed.Efficiently service meetings with electronic prep of agendas, reports, and minutes.Attend meetings, take notes, and liaise with officers and external bodies.Implement decisions through correspondence, reports, and collaboration.Index and maintain records of Council, Cabinet, Panel, and committee minutes.Experience in democratic services in local authorities Requirements of a Principal Building control surveyor The ability to draft routine reports and agendas for Council, Cabinet, Committees, Panels and working parties and prepare minutes of these minutes - all using Microsoft Word.Knowledge of Local Government, and in particular, committee administration.The ability to deal with a range of administrative functions connected with committee administration.
