Electric Actuators Product Support Engineer

Due to growth, our well-established global client has an exciting opportunity for an Electric Actuators Product Support Engineer. The role involves answering technical questions, assisting with customer applications and troubleshooting. This support will involve setting up and programming PLCs, motor drivers and industrial communications (PROFINET, EtherCAT, IO-Link, etc.).The successful candidate will also be required to design and deliver training courses/presentations, write user manuals and technical guides, and carry out investigations and tests to evaluate products.Requirements:A Degree or HND Qualification - Electronics, Electromechanical or Mechatronics EngineeringMinimum 1 year relevant work experienceKnowledge of PLCs and Ladder or Structured Text programming languageKnowledge of electrical motion control for industrial applicationsStrong verbal and written communication skills as you will be required to write detailed, technical reports and product documentationThe ability to occasionally travel to EuropeDesirable, but not essential skills:Experience of inspecting and testing devicesWorking knowledge of pneumatic and electrical test equipmentExperience to plan and manage projectsTechnical product support experienceExperience of delivering technical trainingExperience with some industrial communication protocols for example PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT and IO-LinkDue to the large number of responses we receive it is not always possible to respond to every application straight away.
