Job description


Join us as a Marketing Intern in our UK team, perfect for a university student completing a placement year or recent graduate in Marketing or Business Studies. In this role, you'll immerse yourself in the food and beverage industry, supporting the UK Marketing Manager in researching market trends, interpreting consumer insights, and translating these findings into engaging presentations and innovative concept ideas.

Major Tasks & Responsibilities


Assisting the UK Marketing Manager with:

  • Conducting thorough desk research and analysing evolving food & beverage trends
  • Translating consumer insights into engaging stories and concepts that resonate with our client base
  • Reacting promptly to day-to-day client needs and supporting follow-up after client meetings
  • Designing and executing engaging portfolio promotions across various product categories
  • Staying abreast of social media trends and sharing actionable insights
  • Creating polished presentations and communications that effectively communicate our strengths and resonate with our audiences
  • Assisting in planning and executing marketing events that drive brand awareness
  • Conducting store audits to capture and analyse on-shelf product data
  • Monitoring competitors' activities and identifying opportunities for Symrise


Performance Indicators

  • Identifying key market trends
  • Supporting the Marketing Manager in achieving departmental goals and objectives


Corporate Governance & Ethics

  • Upholding transparency and ethical standards in all interactions.
  • Maintaining integrity in internal and external relationships.


Required Profile


Education

  • Ideally pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business Studies, or related fields.


Skills & Attributes

  • Passionate about the food and beverage industry
  • Trend-savvy with a pulse on TikTok and Instagram
  • Strong design sense
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Quick learner, adaptable, and detail-oriented
  • Organized with excellent time management skills
  • Understanding of the importance of storytelling in marketing


Additional Requirement

  • Must have the right to work in the UK by the start date of employment.
  • Possession of a UK driving license is advantageous.
