About this job

As a result of continued growth with established clients, we have an interesting opportunity for an experienced medical writer to join our UK team. This role will suit you if you have a keen interest in or experience in developing market access communications for pipeline pharmaceutical assets approaching launch.

 

The role

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior/Principal Medical Writer.

You will be part of a supportive and close-knit team of medical writers, editors, education managers, and graphic designers. You will work with clients with whom EDGE has a strong and long-term partnership. You will report to the leadership team. Initially, you will work within two client teams. You will bring accuracy, insight, and excellent communication skills. The work will be varied and include background disease dossiers, content for educational meetings, internal training and briefing communications, and market access materials such as advance product notifications and value dossiers.  


You will be responsible for:

  • Researching, interpreting, and presenting scientific/clinical data and other complex information in a clear, concise, and accurate format for varied audiences
  • Liaising with clients and healthcare professionals on content development
  • Attending both client and scientific meetings


Your skills will include:

  • Established and versatile medical writing ability
  • Experience in content development in different medical communication settings
  • The ability to lead the writing of high-quality, compliant outputs that fulfil the brief
  • A strong understanding of the drug development process
  • An understanding of the market access landscape in the UK and EU
  • A mature insight into the client-centric attitude required in this senior role


Your experience: 

  • Medical writer for a medical communications agency
  • An academic background in life sciences


This position is based at our Dorking or York offices with hybrid working for the right applicant. We are looking for a full-time employee but can be flexible about part-time working options for the right applicant. This role comes with a competitive salary dependent on experience, company bonus scheme, pension, and relocation package.
