EYFS Teaching Assistant, ChorleyThe SENCo of a highly subscribed primary school in Chorley is seeking to appoint an Early Years specialist Teaching Assistant to provide general classroom support in their Reception class and deliver speech and language interventions as instructed by the Speech and Language Therapist. The role has arisen due to a recent resignation and is to start Monday 24th February 2025. Working hours are 08:30 – 15:15, Mon-Fri.The school is graded highly by Ofsted, with being effectively led and managed by the Head Teacher, senior leaders, Governors and a team of staff who lead their specific areas of responsibility extremely well. The school has a clear and strong vision, defined by its Christian ethos and commitment to serve the needs of its pupils and families. As a result, all pupils have equal opportunities to excel. Leaders provide very good support for staff who are new to their roles. The culture in the school enables all staff to excel too.In order for your application to be considered, you must hold a minimum of a relevant Level 2 qualification and a minimum of 12 months’ experience in an educational setting – this can be within a primary school or nursery setting. You must be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of the EYFS Framework and show confidence in your practice as an EYFS Practitioner. As the role will involve delivering speech and language interventions, prior experience of doing so is essential.
