About the Role
We're looking for a driven, proactive, and ambitious Business Development Manager to hunt new business, revive lapsed accounts, and build strong trade partnerships. If you thrive on winning deals, creating opportunities, and love the thrill of the chase, this is the role for you. You'll have access to an extensive client database, but we want someone who doesn't just wait for leads—you make things happen.
What You'll Be Doing
Hunting New Business – Identify, engage, and convert new trade clients, from landscapers and garden designers to developers and property managers.
Reactivating Lapsed Accounts – We have 20 years' worth of data. Your job? Find clients who haven't ordered in a while, understand why, and bring them back on board.
Building Relationships That Last – You'll become a trusted advisor, not just a salesperson, ensuring clients return time and time again.
Feed The Beast –Provide leads to our trade sales advisors. They will act as your quoting team. You line them up they'll knock them down.
Collaborating for Success – Work closely with the Head of Sales and marketing team to drive targeted campaigns and increase engagement.
Tracking and Smashing Targets – Use our CRM to manage your pipeline and stay ahead of sales KPIs.
What We're Looking For
Proven Sales Success – Minimum 2 years in B2B sales, business development, or account management (preferably in landscaping, horticulture, or construction).
A True Sales Hunter – You don't wait for leads; you go out and find them.
Sharp Negotiation Skills – You know how to pitch, persuade, and provide leads to our trade sales advisors
CRM Proficiency – Experience managing pipelines and tracking performance.
Industry Knowledge – Landscaping, horticulture, or construction experience is a bonus but not essential—being a quick learner is.
Resilient & Target-Driven – You thrive on competition, love hitting numbers, and never settle for "good enough."
