If youre passionate about clean code cloud technologies and collaborative problem-solving we want to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain robust scalable software using Java and TypeScriptDeliver clean well-tested code and promote software quality through code reviews and best practicesWork in a cloud-native environment using AWS technologiesCollaborate with engineers and product managers to design and deliver clearly scoped featuresWrite and maintain unit and integration tests using tools like JUnit Jest and MockitoSupport debugging and troubleshooting activities within a fast-paced agile teamQualificationsQualificationsWhat are we looking forMinimum of 2 years of professional experience in a Software Developer/Engineer role.Solid programming experience in eitherJava or TypeScript and a willingness to learn additional languages/tooling.Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals including OOP functional programming and design patterns.Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows (e.g. pull requests).Familiarity with writing unit and integration tests including the use of mocking tools (e.g. Jest JUnit Mockito).Basic experience working with cloud services particularly AWS (e.g. Lambda S3 CloudWatch).Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in a team setting.Understanding of secure coding practices and common vulnerabilities (e.g. OWASP Top 10)Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.Dont meet every single requirement Thats okay and you arent aloneResearch shows that women and people of colour are less likely to apply for a role unless they meet all the criteria.
