As a Technical Software Specialist at our St Neots (PE19 8YP), Cambridge location, you'll have the option for hybrid working, allowing for a balance between office and remote work. In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of showcasing the comprehensive capabilities of our PicoScope hardware by creating example code using C/C++/C#.


Your contributions will be instrumental in enabling customers to harness the full potential of our products for their applications.


Main Responsibilities of the Technical Software Specialist Role Include


  • Creating Example Code: Your primary responsibility revolves around crafting example code that vividly illustrates the robust capabilities of our PicoScope software. Leveraging your expertise in C/C++/C#, you'll develop code snippets that demonstrate various functionalities and features, empowering customers to explore the versatility of our products.


  • Customer Assistance: Beyond code creation, you'll serve as a key point of contact for customers, providing invaluable support in developing a wide array of software applications. Whether it's troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, or implementing novel features, your expertise and guidance will be crucial in helping customers achieve their objectives effectively.


  • Collaborative Testing and Evaluation: Working closely with our Development and Marketing teams, you'll participate in the testing and evaluation of new products and software features. Your insights and feedback will contribute to refining product functionalities, ensuring they meet the evolving needs and expectations of our customer base.


  • Product Selection Guidance: With an in-depth understanding of our product portfolio and customer requirements, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting customers in selecting the right products for their specific applications. By offering tailored recommendations and insights, you'll help customers make informed decisions that align with their goals and objectives.


The Technical Software Support candidate will need


  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstratable proficiency in working with C/C++/C# are essential for this role. Your ability to write clean, efficient code and troubleshoot technical issues will be paramount to your success in supporting customers and enhancing our software’s capabilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are fundamental for effectively supporting our customers and collaborating with internal teams. Your ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner will be crucial in facilitating seamless interactions and fostering positive relationships.
  • Customer Service Focus: Prior experience in a customer-facing role, coupled with a strong customer service orientation, will be highly beneficial.
