Quality General Operative Location: Newry Salary: £12 per hour Job Type: Full-time Join our team as a Quality General Operative/Quality Control Technician, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of product safety and quality. Working closely with our Production and Technical teams, you will support a range of duties on a fast-paced production line. This position is ideal for someone who is flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment. Day-to-day of the role: Conduct relevant product safety checks including outturn, weight checks, metal detection, and labelling checks. Complete monitoring documentation and upload data to the company communication portal. Ensure product changeovers are undertaken according to company policies. Manage label printing and issuing. Conduct routine quality checks, including cooking up products and assessing them against product requirements. Collect and organise samples for external analysis, including microbiological, chemical, speciation, allergenic, and environmental tests. Perform in-house chemical, speciation, and allergenic testing. Undertake pre-start-up checks. Ensure that all taste panels, shelf lives, and organoleptic testing are completed and recorded in line with company procedures. Perform other duties as required by the management team. Required Skills & Qualifications: Good written and spoken English. Flexible and adaptable with a 'can-do' attitude and keen to learn. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise tasks, and maintain excellent attention to detail. Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
