Quality General Operative

Join our team as a Quality General Operative/Quality Control Technician, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of product safety and quality. Working closely with our Production and Technical teams, you will support a range of duties on a fast-paced production line. This position is ideal for someone who is flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conduct relevant product safety checks including outturn, weight checks, metal detection, and labelling checks.
- Complete monitoring documentation and upload data to the company communication portal.
- Ensure product changeovers are undertaken according to company policies.
- Manage label printing and issuing.
- Conduct routine quality checks, including cooking up products and assessing them against product requirements.
- Collect and organise samples for external analysis, including microbiological, chemical, speciation, allergenic, and environmental tests.
- Perform in-house chemical, speciation, and allergenic testing.
- Undertake pre-start-up checks.
- Ensure that all taste panels, shelf lives, and organoleptic testing are completed and recorded in line with company procedures.
- Perform other duties as required by the management team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Good written and spoken English.
- Flexible and adaptable with a ‘can-do’ attitude and keen to learn.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise tasks, and maintain excellent attention to detail.
- Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
