About the Role:We require a Programme Administrative Support Officer to work with us under the national Supporting Families initiative, implemented locally through the Dorset Families Matter central programme team based within the People - Children's Directorate at County Hall, currently operating in a hybrid capacity. This role involves considerable liaison with colleagues from across the Children's Locality teams and a broad range of partners.

As an Administration Assistant, you will provide clerical, administrative, and secretarial support to officers within a designated function, either in support of a designated officer or to the team as a whole. You will be part of a team of five, contributing to the efficient operation of the program.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to officers.
  • Arrange and support large team meetings online.
  • Manage diaries and meetings.
  • Input and maintain accurate data in confidential computer systems.
  • Maintain manual and electronic filing systems.
  • Handle routine queries and provide guidance within defined boundaries.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity of management information.
  • Perform any other comparable duties as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Proficiency in arranging large team meetings online.
  • Strong communication skills for handling calls and attending to visitors.
  • Ability to maintain accurate data and filing systems.
  • Attention to detail for ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Capability to make decisions within established procedures.
