WE Talent are currently working with a market leading distributor in the Braintree area, who are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their team.

The company pride themselves on delivering excellent service to their clients and therefore operate as a team to ensure orders and requirements are fulfilled.

This role works mainly on the finance function of the business but there will be ad hoc duties to assist with processing orders during busy periods. This is an additional position to the business due to growth.

The office hours are:

Monday -8am-5pm

Tuesday to Thursday -9am-5pm

Friday -9am-4pm

Duties include:

  • Prepare management accounts.
  • Manage and update the fixed asset schedule.
  • Ensure accurate calculations and reconciliation of the duty deferment account.
  • Oversee the purchase ledger processes.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and allocate payments using the Sage system.
  • Invoice suppliers for rebates and offers as needed.
  • Compile and prepare sales data required by suppliers.
  • Assist in calculating the new ERP waste packaging regulations.
  • Provide support to the credit controller with credit control tasks.
  • Handle additional administrative tasks as required.
  • Perform other duties to support the team as needed.

Experience required:

  • Previous experience preparing management accounts
  • Previous purchase ledger experience
  • Previous experience with Sage 200 (desirable)
  • Previous credit control experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment and assist others when needed
