The Opportunity:
The role of Audit Senior is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to deliver high-quality audit and accounts work while working with a range of clients in different industries.
The successful candidate will:
- Execute and oversee audits both in-office and at client premises, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare statutory financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
- Supervise and support junior staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Provide technical expertise and ensure adherence to sound accounting practices.
- Manage a portfolio of clients (dependent on experience), maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Liaise with HMRC as required.
- Deliver exceptional client service, adding value and providing insights that go beyond expectations.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or an exceptional finalist).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in audit and team management within a UK accountancy practice.
Skills & Attributes:
- Proven expertise in delivering external audit and accounting services.
- Experience with diverse clients across various sizes and sectors.
- Strong technical skills with systems like ProAudit, Sage, or Xero (advantageous but not essential).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence, adaptability, and the ability to build strong client relationships.
- A proactive, organised approach with a commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
