A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Luxury 5* Corporate Hotel brand, Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel in Canary Wharf, East London.
We are currently recruiting a warm and welcomingReceptionistto be a part of our main Centrepoint Ambassador of the Hotel, the Front Office Department.

Quadrato Restaurant offers Italian inspired menus with flavours that are light, fresh and quintessentially Italian. Key qualities we are looking from the appointed Receptionist:
As a Hotel Receptionist you will be responsible for checking in/out all of our hotel guests and reporting any comments, VIP arrivals or departures and other issues as they occur throughout the day to the Front Office Supervisor Team on duty and the Front Office Manager.
In this role you will coordinate the arrival and departure of all guests along with assisting them to feel welcome and direct them to the areas around the Hotel Property they wish to go. You will also take telephone reservations as required and answer emails from guests about a variety of topics.
The ideal candidate will have the following Skills and Knowledge:
Excellent communication skills listening, written and oral.
Understand the importance of customer service and how to deliver it.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Ability to multi task.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and question information received.
Willingness to learn how to use unfamiliar equipment and/or computer programmes.
Upselling hotel rooms and promoting any other services of the hotel in order to maximize the Revenue.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office packages.
Previous experience relevant to the role preferable.
Knowledge of Opera Cloud System desirable full Training will be given.
The main responsibilities for this role would include:
Providing personalized service with guests and establish good relationships to ensure loyalty and future bookings using the guests name as many times as appropriate and possible.
Performing prompt and courteous check-in and check-out procedures.
Handling incoming telephone calls promptly and courteously.
Dealing with guest requests and ensure they are communicated to the relevant department and properly follow out.
Maintaining awareness of VIP arrivals and departures and ensures necessary special arrangements are met.
Maintaining awareness of meetings and events taking place in the property.
Has full knowledge of hotel facilities, services and local area.
Handling client taxi requests.
Taking, amending and processing reservations in the absence of the Reservations Team.
Ensuring handover is carried out between shifts.
Ensuring that all reservations and cancellations are processed efficiently.
Preparing bills, handling payments and running payment reports.
Preparing arrivals for the following day taking care of room allocation and guest requests.
Ensuring lobby and reception desk areas are always clean, tidy and welcoming at all times.
Reporting any maintenance, breakage or cleanliness problems to the relevant department.
Other duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager or Hotel Executive Coordinator.
Being part of the small team, you will demonstrate excellent knowledge and dedicated behaviour.
The successful candidate will be highly professional, have excellent communication skills, be well presented and understand the importance of exceptional Guest Service.
