SRM Recruitment are partnering with a high growth, listed financial services client in their search for a Corporate Financial Controller.


The role will join a high calibre finance team, supporting the Director of Financial Control and Group Finance Director. You’ll hold primary responsibility for the accounting across the corporate group, including ownership of the monthly management accounts process, production of the monthly management information pack, and line management of three individuals within the wider finance team.


The ideal candidate ill have experience coordinating global management accounts, and the technical skillset to perform a complex month-end consolidation. You’ll also ideally have experience improving processes and systems within your recent roles.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Manage the global group management accounts and consolidation process
  • Running the efficient completion of month end process and delivery of the management accounts, including:
  • Detailed review of balance sheet reconciliations prepared by Finance team
  • Detailed review of global revenue recognition
  • Management and assignment of finance team responsibilities (2 qualified, 1 part-qualified and Accounts Payable)
  • Responsibility for the group’s accounting software including chart of accounts
  • Preparation of management information pack
  • Partner with the FP&A, tax and treasury managers
  • Management of external audit
  • Preparation of FCA regulatory returns
  • Review and finalisation of VAT returns
  • Helping design and implement financial control procedures as the business expands including partnering with IT/external providers to simplify processes
  • Manage integration processes when the group is involved with acquisitions
  • Provide guidance to and development of the finance team

The successful candidate will be/have:

  • Qualified accountant with at least four years of post-qualification experience
  • Experience with complex, global month-end consolidations
  • Experience improving processes and systems
  • Experience within Investment Management / Private Equity is preferred but not essential
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred by not essential
