We are working with a leading international law firm to recruit a Contracts Lawyer to join their team in Birmingham.In this role, you’ll be supporting the review and negotiation of a wide range of client-facing and third-party contracts. Working closely with the Associate General Counsel, Contracts Counsel, and Senior Contracts Lawyers, you’ll help ensure the firm’s contractual arrangements are compliant, commercially sound, and aligned with best practice.The firm is looking for a qualified solicitor with strong academic credentials and relevant experience gained in a risk-focused environment, either in private practice or in-house.Your responsibilities will include:Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating client engagement terms, service agreements, and commercial contractsAdvising on legal and commercial risks to ensure the firm’s best interests are protectedSupporting the development and maintenance of standard terms, playbooks, and guidance materialsIdentifying and implementing process improvements to enhance contract management efficiencyCollaborating with teams across the business to deliver clear, pragmatic advice and ensure effective coordinationProviding support on ad hoc legal and compliance projects as requiredThe ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and commercially aware, with excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
