This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a high-performing project team delivering vital highway maintenance across Nottingham City.As a Highway Safety Inspector you will play an integral role in assessing roads and related infrastructure to identify defects and hazards and ensure they meet our relevant safety standards for the public.Key Responsibilities:To inspect and monitor all aspects of highway maintenance and activities affecting the highwayTo carry out safety/structural inspections and Annual Engineering Inspections (AEIs) by vehicle and on footTo carry out and report on investigations related to accidents and damage claims from members of the publicTo participate in the operation of the highways emergency response service and other out-of-hours operations on a on-call rota basisAbout YouAble to work to deadlines good time management.Experience of legislation standards and regulations appropriate to highway maintenance and management including the Well-Managed Highway Infrastructure code of practiceThe ideal candidate must have:LANTRA or be a C & G Accredited Highways InspectorA full driving licenceYou can find the job description for this post hereAt Nottingham City Council we believe that work is what you do not where you do it.
