We're seeking a dynamic Project Director for a leading Advertising agency to spearhead integrated global initiatives for their esteemed and iconic FMCG brand. This is a one year Maternity cover starting in May so you must be immediately available.


As a key member of the team, you'll report directly to the PM Lead, taking charge of project management while also providing guidance to our advertising and content teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the seamless execution of assigned projects from client briefing to final delivery, acting as the linchpin between various disciplines within our organization and across our global network.
  • Demonstrate strategic acumen by aligning project objectives with broader business goals, collaborating with account management teams, and translating client needs into actionable plans and conversations.
  • Excel in project setup, planning, budgeting, resource management, reporting, and process optimization to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail across all project aspects while balancing workload fluctuations and fostering strong relationships within the project team and with PM leads.
  • Leverage extensive experience in global and local environments, showcasing proficiency across diverse disciplines from strategy to execution.
  • Serve as a confident client liaison, engaging in open dialogues regarding briefing, commercial aspects, deliverables, and fostering collaborative partnerships to drive exceptional results.
  • Demonstrate commercial savvy by leading discussions on scoping, budgeting, revenue reporting, and resource planning, empowering client services teams with relevant data for commercial negotiations.
  • Drive project efficiency by optimizing performance, maintaining flexibility, ensuring delivery excellence, resource allocation, and creative output standards, while implementing robust processes and tools to enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, schedule, and deliver projects on a global scale, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team including consultants, project managers, producers, account managers, and creatives.
  • Oversee multiple work streams, focusing on creative excellence while ensuring alignment with agency-wide initiatives such as brand identity, communications, experience, and PR within defined scope, timelines, and budget.
  • Proactively identify potential delivery challenges at project onset and develop mitigation strategies where feasible.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project timelines from pre-brief to final delivery, incorporating inputs from specialist departments and promptly notifying stakeholders of any schedule adjustments.
  • Foster collaboration with multi-agency teams as necessary, ensuring seamless coordination and communication throughout project lifecycles.
  • Utilize the agency and client project tools and platforms effectively, including digital workflow tools and communication platforms.
  • Spearhead procurement processes by raising purchase orders as needed and liaising with the Resource Team to manage resource allocation effectively.
  • Maintain financial oversight of projects, forecasting and flagging any potential issues during financial status meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in managing and delivering global integrated projects within the FMCG or related industries.
  • Global account and network agency experience.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with the ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to align project objectives with broader business goals.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and platforms, as well as financial acumen in managing project budgets and resources.
  • Adaptable, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach to project management.
