We're seeking a dynamic Project Director for a leading Advertising agency

to spearhead integrated global initiatives for their esteemed and iconic FMCG brand. This is a one year Maternity cover starting in May so you must be immediately available. As a key member of the team, you'll report directly to the PM Lead, taking charge of project management while also providing guidance to our advertising and content teams.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the seamless execution of assigned projects from client briefing to final delivery, acting as the linchpin between various disciplines within our organization and across our global network.
  2. Demonstrate strategic acumen by aligning project objectives with broader business goals, collaborating with account management teams, and translating client needs into actionable plans and conversations.
  3. Excel in project setup, planning, budgeting, resource management, reporting, and process optimization to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  4. Maintain meticulous attention to detail across all project aspects while balancing workload fluctuations and fostering strong relationships within the project team and with PM leads.
  5. Leverage extensive experience in global and local environments, showcasing proficiency across diverse disciplines from strategy to execution.
  6. Serve as a confident client liaison, engaging in open dialogues regarding briefing, commercial aspects, deliverables, and fostering collaborative partnerships to drive exceptional results.
  7. Demonstrate commercial savvy by leading discussions on scoping, budgeting, revenue reporting, and resource planning, empowering client services teams with relevant data for commercial negotiations.
  8. Drive project efficiency by optimizing performance, maintaining flexibility, ensuring delivery excellence, resource allocation, and creative output standards, while implementing robust processes and tools to enhance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage, schedule, and deliver projects on a global scale, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team including consultants, project managers, producers, account managers, and creatives.
  2. Oversee multiple work streams, focusing on creative excellence while ensuring alignment with agency-wide initiatives such as brand identity, communications, experience, and PR within defined scope, timelines, and budget.
  3. Proactively identify potential delivery challenges at project onset and develop mitigation strategies where feasible.
  4. Develop and maintain comprehensive project timelines from pre-brief to final delivery, incorporating inputs from specialist departments and promptly notifying stakeholders of any schedule adjustments.
  5. Foster collaboration with multi-agency teams as necessary, ensuring seamless coordination and communication throughout project lifecycles.
  6. Utilize the agency and client project tools and platforms effectively, including digital workflow tools and communication platforms.
  7. Spearhead procurement processes by raising purchase orders as needed and liaising with the Resource Team to manage resource allocation effectively.
  8. Maintain financial oversight of projects, forecasting and flagging any potential issues during financial status meetings.
Qualifications:

Proven track record in managing and delivering global integrated projects within the FMCG or related industries. Global account and network agency experience. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with the ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders. Strong strategic mindset with the ability to align project objectives with broader business goals. Proficiency in project management tools and platforms, as well as financial acumen in managing project budgets and resources.
