Group Financial Controller

Sowena Group has been exclusively retained by a high-growth private equity backed services group based in the Greater Manchester who is looking for a Group Financial Controller. In line with the private equity investment strategy, this newly created number 2 role will play a crucial role in supporting the CFO by ensuring the financial health of the organisation. Bringing expertise and a dynamic approach will be instrumental in driving financial growth and supporting the company's strategy plans with either new investment or an exit.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the entire finance team including transactional accounting team
- Weekly and monthly financial reporting, periodic budgeting/forecasts and 3 Year strategic planning
- Preparation of Executive presentations to the board and senior leadership team
- Involvement in corporate activity, funding, refinancing & ESG
- Lead for Group Audit and statutory reporting including tax
- Liaise with external stakeholders including PE House, banking and insurance
- Drive working capital reduction across the Group
- Ensure timely / accurate processing of all transactional accounting
- Review and develop accounting systems including future systems implementation
- Develop corporate policies, internal controls and implement new processes
- Support M&A activity and integrate new acquisitions

This role would suit a fully qualified ACA or ACCA accountant who has had experience working within a fast-paced organisation, ideally that has been on a growth journey. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-calibre and ambitious accountant as this opportunity provides a platform in becoming their new Finance Director.
