About the job


ODI’s Global Risks and Resilience programme is looking for a part-time consultant to support its communications team in maintaining its digital presence and monitoring programme impact.


Global Risks and Resilience is one of ODI’s larger programmes. It works on a large number of publications and events that require varied communications and logistical support. The consultant would support the communications team with maintaining a high-level presence online, sharing our work, and monitoring and reporting on the programme’s impact.


This would be a good role for an early-career professional who is interested in supporting a busy team in implementing their publicity and outreach strategy. The role is fully remote, working 3 days a week with the opportunity to work up to 4 days in busy periods.


Responsibilities

The consultant will be working to communicate GRR’s work to a wide audience, and to drive increased engagement and partnerships with GRR. This work will be in collaboration with the climate consortium lead. Tasks will include:


  • Creating and scheduling social media content to publicise our research, expertise and events
  •  Sharing new research through relevant platforms
  • Supporting the communications team to edit videos or blogs as required
  • Supporting the production of publications to high quality and timeliness standards
  • Maintaining Global Risks and Resilience’s web pages and online content
  • Supporting with events logistics
  • Logging and reporting on programme outputs and impact
  • Other tasks as required


Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:


  • Very strong attention to detail: high level of accuracy and ability to provide accurate, high-quality work
  • Minimum three years experience in relevant roles
  • Experience with a range of video editing, digital design and/or web management software
  • Demonstrable interest in, and experience with, various aspects of communications
  • Practical experience in digital communications and familiarity with a range of web and design software
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Enthusiastic team player who is able to work with people with different views
  • Excellent English
