The Directorate consists of Civil Servants, military colleagues and contractors working closely to deliver the Army�s Modernisation Agenda. As PMO Lead, you will be working alongside a diverse team consisting of military and civilian team members to ensure the successful delivery of the programme through each of its critical stages.

What will the successful candidate be doing?

We are looking for a motivated and highly organised individual to join the programme management office to support the Land Cyber Electromagnetic Activity (CEMA) Programme which has 4 major projects delivering capabilities to the Army.�

This is a high priority programme within the Army portfolio which aims to;

Protect our forces with defensive cyber capabilities and electronic counter measures.Understand our adversaries with electronic sensors

Lead the PMO, supporting a � programme Lead on Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Opportunities (RAIDO) management across the programme.Foster good working relationships and share best practiceMaintain programme artefacts including programme management plan, key strategies and risk registerLiaison with the Army portfolio office and other information manoeuvre programmesLine management responsibilitySupport programme boards and Senior Responsible Owner monthly programme reviewsDeputise for the programme manager

This is an exciting time to join the Directorate as we are looking for a motivated and highly organised individual to join the programme management office to support the Land CEMA Programme.

CEMA consists of four major projects delivering Army capabilities.

We are looking for an experienced Project Delivery Professional who will be pivotal in supporting and providing leadership to the delivery of the Programme outputs.

The successful candidate will:

Be responsible for covering a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of the Project/Programme objectives.��Enable the smooth running of the Project/Programme by supporting and leading the team through the operation of project management processes, and the co-ordination of business management actions and activities on their behalf.�Proactively manage risks and issues facing the Project/Programme by co-ordinating the consistent identification, documentation, monitoring and reporting of risks and issues.��Support the relevant risk or issue owners to identify and develop appropriate mitigation plans and escalate to the next level of management where appropriate.��Identify tasks, activities, interdependencies and outputs, working with the wider team to track and monitor progress against the plan throughout the life of the project.�Pivotal in project governance and working with stakeholders, to ensure the agreed project outputs are delivered to enable benefits to be realised.�Ensure timely, consistent, and accurate data collection, analysis and reporting on progress and delivery confidence.�

Desirable Qualifications/Membership:

Candidates have one or more of the following, or a willingness to work towards:

Managing Successful ProgrammesPRINCE2, AMP or Agile project management qualifications

Director Programmes manages Project Delivery staff on a flexible basis to ensure programmes have the talent required to deliver outputs and maximise opportunities in support of skills development and wider career pathways. In common with all Programmes Directorate staff, the post holder may be redeployed flexibly within the portfolio as priorities change and programmes begin and end.

We will be looking to utilise a reserve list from this campaign. This means that high-calibre candidates will be contacted after the interview process to discuss similar opportunities in Army Programmes without the need to re-interview.�
