Job Description

As a Payments Statistics Reporting Specialist - Vice President in Wealth Management Operations Team, you will help us to ensure that our payment reporting to European regulators (Bank de France, German Bundesbank, National Bank of Belgium etc.) is compliant and that reports we send are complete, timely and accurate.

You will be responsible for leading a team of 3 reporting specialists, being our Subject Matter Expert / Technical Lead on any Regulatory Change for our inventory of reports, leading the Business Analyst capture of requirements for the rebuild of existing Payment Statistics reports as well as building a comprehensive framework around each report including Variance Analysis, Controls, Procedures, User Guides, Business Requirements.

Job responsibilities
  • Manages issues or queries across our inventory of 10+ reports which include Balance of Payments and Payment Statistics in our Regulatory Reporting team
  • Ables to work independently to interpret and transform the regulations (Bank de France, German Bundesbank, National Bank of Belgium etc) into business requirement documents
  • Works in collaboration with upstream business teams to ensure that we receive accurate and timely information
  • Ensures that all Regulatory Reports conform to our agreed 12 point framework
  • Understands our business model and how reporting rules should be applied to particular activities
  • Coordinate analysis of efforts across teams in Edinburgh, Geneva and Bangalore and work with key stakeholders including Technology, Compliance, Controls, Projects, and Governance teams
  • Acts as Report Owner for the production of the reports and ensure that procedures and controls are followed
  • Accountable for review and sign off of business requirements within the team
  • Performs substantive analysis of requirements to validate that the reports satisfy our regulatory obligations. This includes writing and presenting detailed reports of findings to senior management in a comprehensible manner, including background of the requirements and recommendations on resolution of immediate and long-term issues associated with regulatory reporting
  • Reviews and Signs off reports prior to submission

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Focused on execution with the ability to prioritise across multiple competing initiatives
  • Flexibility to work under pressure to meet changing work requirements
  • Ability to work with large data sets to pull trends and insights, and provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to varied audiences
  • Inclusive leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across various groups and regions

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experienced people manager
  • Knowledge of Payment Statistics / Balance of Payments or experience of working in a similar Regulatory Reporting function
  • Experience of delivering regulatory change
  • Ability to create a vision and actionable roadmap with a focus on ongoing innovation
