So get ready to make things happen here.

Why join us

By joining Sainsbury's as a Location Planner, you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future expansion and success of our business. As part of our dynamic Property team, you will work collaboratively to provide accurate forecasts, make informed recommendations, and support the delivery of our Property Strategy. With access to a wide variety of data and the latest analytical tools, you will have the opportunity to challenge existing methodologies and drive improvements in our Location Planning processes. As an integral member of our team, you will have the chance to work cross-functionally, build strong relationships, and contribute to the strategic growth of our estate. Join us and be part of a company that values innovation, collaboration, and customer-centric decision-making, while offering opportunities for personal growth and professional advancement.

What you'll do

As a Location Planner, you will be responsible for providing accurate forecasts and board papers to support the delivery of the Property Strategy. You will be responsible for producing forecasts for new stores, competitor impacts, trade transfers, and input into key processes such as New Store PIRs, Property Board papers, and the annual PIR process. With your strong analytical skills, you will synthesise and analyse a wide variety of data while keeping customer needs at the forefront of capital investment decisions. You will build strong working relationships with key stakeholders, such as Senior Location Planners and Property Development Surveyors, and provide recommendations regarding the appropriate size and offer for potential new stores and extensions. Additionally, you will contribute to improving Location Planning methodologies and processes through ad hoc analysis, offer locational expertise to various business areas, and conduct post-investment reviews to ensure timely insights and continuous improvement.
