Norfolk County Council has been successful in our bid to be the lead organisation for Norfolk & Suffolk Music Hub from 01 September 2024: a partnership of organisations, coming together to provide the best possible music education for the children and young people of Norfolk & Suffolk.
There is a real appetite to continue to expand our partnership delivery model, creating opportunities to further develop our core offer and overarching programme of activity underpinned by our Local Plan for Music Education. We need to continue to facilitate high quality teaching and learning and demonstrate excellent value for money whilst improving upon the breadth of offer and forging lasting relationships with schools, partners and stakeholders.
The Music Service has undergone a significant realignment to help further embed Hub activity in day-to-day operations. The new structure supports improved communication with schools, stakeholders and partners, offers a more diverse and relevant offer in localities and integrates a commitment to Music Hub delivery and partnership working within the organisation.
The post of Strategic Hub Development Manager is integral to our strategy moving forward and plays a key role in our team supporting our continued commitment to raise the profile of both the Music Service and the Music Hub across the region and beyond.
Under the direction of the Head of Service the main duties of the post include:
To lead the development of Norfolk & Suffolk Music Hub ensuring the aims and objectives of The National Plan for Music Education are delivered To enhance, develop and form partnerships to enable the Hub to further evolve for the benefit of the Children and Young People of Norfolk & Suffolk To directly line manage 10 FTE Music Tutors working in schools across the county and the Instrument and Events Co-ordinators To oversee and evaluate Hub Partner Delivery and be the overall point of contact for the Norfolk & Suffolk Music Hub To raise aspirations, create confidence and provide opportunity for all Children and Young People throughout the region.To be shortlisted your application will clearly evidence:
