Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Days of work will predominately be Monday to Friday, however, there may be a requirement to flex to an alternative working pattern during peak periods.


2Agriculture are offering an exciting opportunity for a National Engineering Manager to lead a muti-skilled team of Engineering Managers over 6 locations. It is a fantastic time to join 2Agriculture and play a key role in realising our ambitious growth plans.


Role Profile


Reporting to the Operations Director this role is responsible for the managing and leading the maintenance strategy for the company, including capital expenditure, engineering projects and resource planning.


Within this role you will drive a culture of continuous improvement, reviewing processes, procedures, and standards across site, led by example and take a proactive approach to implementing change whilst maintaining a high level for standards, safety and quality output. You will support cross functional departments in the delivery of their objectives, ensuring all necessary housekeeping standards are achieved. Leading the maintenance strategy for planned preventative and reactive maintenance to actively reduce downtime.

You will be in strict control over the engineering budget, spend, ordering of products, capex projects and resource planning to meet strict deadlines. Also supporting the delivery of capital and strategic projects. You will manage contractors and third party suppliers whilst encouraging a safety-first and compliant environment across site and with third parties. Ensuring any contractor; suppliers etc. adhere to the same principles.



Skills and Experience

Essential

• A degree or equivalent and relevant professional qualifications or experience

• Proven and extensive experience in a similar process manufacturing, preferably animal feed or similar industry

• Experience of managing a multi-site team & ability to travel

• Extensive engineering management experience

• Project Management experience

• A proven track record of holding management position with capital expenditure responsibility

• Experience of all aspects of people management

• Experience of delivering efficiency improvements

• Proven understanding of Health and Safety practices

• Analytical skills to embed and evaluate data and performance/operation metrics

• Proven organisational and leadership abilities

• Excellent inter-personal, time management and decision making skills


Desirable

• Grain/Powder Handling, Milling, Extrusion & Pellet manufacturing experience

• Leadership/management training

• Thorough knowledge of the company and its products and processes
