About you

You will need experience of managing your own workload, including the ability to successfully prioritise work in order to meet deadlines, in addition to good data and records management skills.

You will also need good research and analysis skills, with experience of gathering, summarising and presenting information. Good written and oral communication skills are equally important.

Job description

As an Assistant Case Officer, you will play an important role supporting the case team in carrying out investigations and enforcement action. The key aspects of this role will vary from project to project and will depend on your relevant skills and experience, but you can expect your role to include:

Supporting the team by carrying out research and basic investigationsManaging case files and electronic recordsHandling day-to-day contacts with businesses under investigation and others relevant to the investigationOrganising internal and external team meetings regarding consumer protection investigationBuilding and maintaining fair, open, professional and proactive communication with stakeholders including businesses under investigation

Alongside your salary of �29,550, Competition & Markets Authority contributes �7,978 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
