Apprentice Operational Support Officer

An opportunity has arisen within the Support Team of Waste Services for an Apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship attracts an enthusiastic and motivated individual to gain the skills and knowledge to be able to carry out the role of Operational Support Officer within the Waste Services Team and gain a Level 2/3 qualification.
The post will be responsible for providing a point of contact for our Commercial Waste customers and carrying out technical administrative tasks within a busy administration team; ensuring consistent and quality service to all internal and external customers, both domestic and commercial in relation to waste and recycling and support the wider Operational and Policy Teams within Waste Services.
You will be expected to undertake a full range of admin duties including use of spreadsheets, maintenance of database systems, general clerical work, finance related work, dealing with enquiries over the phone and other duties relevant to the service area.
You should:
- possess good communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to meet strict deadlines and work as part of a team
