Job description

About the role:

You will accurately assess all types of Welfare Benefits, in particular Social Care financial assessments , local Awards and Reductions, taking account of their complex nature and how they interconnect and to ensure they fully comply with

legislation, policies, performance targets and procedures.

About you:

Good information technology skills including MS Office applications,

Good attention to details.

Good communication skills

Understand how to handle and share confidential & sensitive information.

Ability to work with vulnerable people in difficult and stressful situations being able to communicate difficult decisions and outcomes.

What you will do:

Accurately assess all types of Welfare Benefits, local Awards and Reductions, taking account of their complex nature and how they interconnect and to ensure they fully comply with legislation, policies, performanceProvide specialised advice, guidance and explanation to customers and other third parties, regarding their entitlement to Welfare Benefits, Awards and Reductions. The Officer must analyse and take account of the complex nature of all Benefits and Awards to maximise the customer’s entitlement and income. targets and procedures.
