Position Overview: Within the RWE Renewables Europe & Australia Procurement Team, the Senior Portfolio Manager Procurement will take full responsibility for the seamless execution of onshore wind turbine framework agreements across Europe and Australia. This position requires an experienced professional with a strong background in contract management, project management, project development process, negotiation, and stakeholder coordination. The successful candidate will oversee the entire portfolio of projects in scope of the respective contracts, from initiation to completion, ensuring portfolio optimization, risk mitigation, successful implementation and customer satisfaction.

Your future:
  • Being responsible for the implementation and delivery of the Framework Agreements including functionally coordinating across multiple business units incl. Category Management, Development, Construction & Operations Teams across Europe and Australia.
  • Act as the internal single point of contact to Framework agreements to ensure the successful implementation and pipeline management throughout the term of the Frameworks maintaining and developing the relationships
  • Promote, and drive cross-functional and cross-border cooperation and alignment in close collaboration with the respective regional development teams and global project management
  • Engage and motivate internal stakeholders to contribute to frame agreement implementation success
  • Coordinate with the Category Management single point of contacts for the OEMs for first level escalations and performance of the frame agreements
  • Participate in negotiations as necessary for variations
  • Develop, implement and ensure application of a robust Contract Management process and internal Implementation guidelines for Frameworks
  • Identify Framework limitations or adjustment needs and develop mitigation measures in close collaboration legal representatives and other relevant stakeholders
  • Provide input to supplier meetings with senior supplier representatives to ensure smooth Framework fulfillment and integration into the business (Business Demand Planning Dialogues, Supplier Performance Reviews)
  • Ensuring all internal planning is in place to meet contractual obligations
  • Manage and resolve first level disputes within Frameworks
  • Create and provide Frame Agreement implementation status updates, respective reports highlighting key risks and opportunities to different stakeholders from CEO to project level
  • Provide feedback and guidance to Category & Project Procurement on Supplier Framework performance
  • Work with different tools (MS Office, Sharepoint, MS Teams, MS Projects, RWE internal tools, etc.) and apply suitable methods to proactively collect, analyze, summarize and report relevant information and support successful contract implementation


Your profile:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in operational and strategic procurement/contract management roles ideally for Wind Turbine Generator supply or knowledge & experience in high CAPEX contracts or 10 years of experience in a leading Portfolio Manager role ideally in the renewable industry
  • Strong communication skills (spoken and written) in English other languages (such as German) advantageous and able to build strong relationships and networks
  • Legal understanding of complex contract structures and industry know-how to deal with technical business needs within the contract scope
  • Ability to manage multiple contract packages and stakeholders and to coordinate/lead multidisciplinary teams
  • Relevant academic degree within economics/engineering/business/legal is advantageous
  • Strong background in project management, contract administration and stakeholder coordination
  • Knowledge/background in onshore wind development process
  • Intercultural understanding and experience in working with different cultures
  • Pro-active and pragmatic hands-on mentality to find solutions to secure success of the frameworks
  • Quick learner with strong commercial understanding
  • Good MS Office skills and analytical thinking to summarize and report complex issues in a digestible and target group-specific way
  • Willingness to travel
