Devon, United Kingdom Devon County Council Full time

The governors at Landscore are looking to appoint two highly motivated teaching assistants and a Higher Level Teaching Assistant from September 2024, for one year initially due to a fall in roll. We need enthusiastic, committed and patient people who can use their own initiative and can also work as part of a committed team. We are a fully inclusive school and very child centred. We need people who can challenge and motivate pupils, promote self-esteem, provide feedback in relation to progress, achievement and behaviour and also provide pastoral support. Having a kind and caring nature is paramount in order to support our children with social and emotional needs.

Having an understanding of the National Curriculum and proven experience of working in a school environment would be beneficial for the teaching assistant positions and for the HLTA post, having the HLTA qualification (or equivalent), an understanding of the National Curriculum and proven experience of working in a school environment are all essential.

As a school, we can offer you the opportunity to work with great children and be part of a friendly, supportive and dedicated team of staff who are focused on providing the best for every child.

The TA posts will be payable on a C grade: starting hourly rate and the HLTA will be a D grade post, starting at an hour. If you feel that you have the skills and abilities that we are looking for and are interested in working in an environment that is committed to improving children's life chances, we would be very pleased to hear from you.

We are an equal opportunity school, committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and individuals and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
A full DBS check is required for these posts.
