Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an exceptional Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Trinity VA C of E Primary & Nursery School. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education to our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and deliver lessons to individuals, groups, and whole classes in the planned absence of the teacher, for PPA or leadership duties.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and assist teachers in the whole curriculum planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources.
  • Cover classes across the school, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), utilizing your skills and experience to make a positive impact.
  • Develop and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum plans, ensuring alignment with school policies and objectives.
  • Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community, fostering strong relationships and promoting the school's values.
Requirements:
  • Relevant HLTA or equivalent qualifications, or a strong desire to pursue them.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Proven ability to inspire and motivate students, promoting a love of learning and academic achievement.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
