Our Transportation team have a vacancy for an experienced Graduate, Traffic / Highway Engineer working with our Birmingham City Centre office. Fully flexible working/working from home available. As an Engineer, you will form part of a project team on small to large projects. In doing so you will support our contract commitments whilst ensuring the designs are produced to a high quality and in accordance with all relevant standards and guidance.

The Transportation team provides concept, preliminary and detailed design on a wide range of projects for local authorities and contractors plus supports other AECOM business lines where their projects have a specialised traffic and highways interface.

You will be joining a growing team that is actively involved in the delivery of projects and services to a range of both local and national clients including:
  • West Midlands Combined Authority / Transport for West Midlands• Wolverhampton City Council
  • Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council
  • Coventry City Council
  • Oxfordshire County Council

Minimum Requirements
  • Knowledge of relevant design and safety standards (e.g. DMRB, TSRGD, MCHW, Manual for Streets, CDM Regulations).
  • Experience in the design of highway engineering and local transport schemes, including preparation of design drawings, reports, and technical notes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A relevant degree and be working towards an appropriate Incorporated or Chartered status with membership of a professional institution.
