In recognition of the hurt caused by the infected blood scandal and highlighted by the Infected Blood Inquiry (IBI), the government has accepted the moral case for a compensation scheme to pay compensation to those infected and affected. It is essential the Authority listens to, and acts on, feedback from those who will use the scheme, and this role will ensure that the voice of users informs the Authority�s work.Job description
As an internal consultant you will:
Provide insight to design and build teams, advising where user insight is needed, where that insight could be obtained from, and testing whether the Authority has sufficiently addressed the needs identified by user research and feedback;Contribute to the design, development and establishment of an IBCA culture that puts service users at the heart of the organisation;Help design and deliver training to IBCA staff that ensures they understand the experience of our users, technical language, and know how to respond to their needs in all we do;Advising IBCA on how best to involve those due compensation in delivering its objectives.Draw on your extensive experience and knowledge to assist with complex queries relating to communications, evidentiary requirements and source materials.Person specification
Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of the Infected Blood Inquiry and its factual background.First-hand experience that would qualify for compensation under the Infected Blood Compensation Scheme and confident in speaking openly about this (in private, shared and public settings) on a regular basis. Comfortable and able to manage potentially distressing conversations and material.Experience in a professional environment and an understanding of how public authorities work.The ability to draft high quality papers, and other documents to present information clearly and make a persuasive case.Ability to present complex ideas and concepts clearly and explain their impact on users.A good team player.Commitment to honesty and transparency.Essential Criteria:

Experience in UX design and improvement across internal systems and public-facing print and web platforms.Experience of consultancy work and/or past experience of being a consultant would be beneficial.Additional information:
A minimum 60% of your working time should be spent at your principal workplace. Although requirements to attend other locations for official business will also count towards this level of attendance.
