Role Overview
The Principal Subsea System Integration Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting worldwide offshore deepwater projects.
You will be responsible for ensuring the technical integrity, fluid deliverability, and operability of subsea systems throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Study and optimize subsea development concepts.
Define subsea development schemes at system and component levels.
Review and approve third-party contractor designs.
Support R&D initiatives in seabed processing and new technologies.
Assist in project development and coordinate subsea specialists.
Prepare documentation for tender phases.
Manage interfaces between subsea system work packages.
Participate in subsea project design reviews.
Ensure the performance, installability, and operability of subsea systems.
Select optimal technical/economical solutions for subsea system architecture.
Understand client needs and propose solutions.
Lead Subsea System Integration activities within the department.
Ensure consistency, quality, and cost effectiveness of project design.
Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines.
Liaise with other disciplines during project execution.
Knowledge and Experience
Extensive experience in subsea system integration throughout project phases.
Strong knowledge of subsea industry standards.
Understanding of topsides and subsea interfaces.
Experience with riser and flowline systems design.
Proficiency in process simulation and multiphase transportation software.
Knowledge of construction, installation, and testing activities.
Experience with offshore structures design and geotechnical surveys.
Feedback development, technical audits, and design reviews.
Compliance with international standards and codes.
Project management skills, including risk management.
Proficiency in Office Software and basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
Significant experience in subsea production system detailed engineering, fabrication, testing, installation, and start-up is a major advantage.
Qualifications
Minimum BS Degree in Engineering discipline.
Demonstrated experience in the Oil and Gas Industry with respect to subsea system and network engineering.
