The Inside Sales Specialist - Solar Energy is responsible for proactively managing assigned accounts, prospecting and cultivating new accounts to drive market penetration and accelerated sales growth in the solar energy industry. Based upon the trends, preferences and needs of the solar market, you will join forces with other team members for both strategic and tactical marketing activities to improve market access, increase product adoption, achieve our sales targets, and maximize profitability.

This position is part of the European Solar Energy Sales Team and will be remote.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • You advise our customers on their projects, e.g. to install meteorological stations.

  • You follow up on many open customer projects and strive to win them.

  • Closely communicating with different departments (sales, service, repair, production, customer support, marketing, product management ...) when needed to meet the set targets.

  • Calling customers to understand their needs, based on leads gained.

  • Writing quotes according to technical requirements.

  • You interact with the team and drive marketing and sales initiatives forward.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 1-3 years of direct B2B sales experience, preferably in the solar energy market. Experience in distribution and channel partner development is a plus.

  • A degree in a management or science-related field such as Environmental Science, Hydrological and Meteorological Studies, Engineering, Business, or equivalent is an asset.

  • Formal sales training with experience in value and question-based selling is a plus.

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in using a CRM tool for funnel management and forecasting.

  • Must be willing and able to travel up 2 to 3 weeks per year. Must have valid driver's license & acceptable driving record.

Als Inside Sales Specialist - Solar Energy sind Sie verantwortlich für die proaktive Betreuung der Ihnen zugewiesenen Kunden, die Akquise und Pflege neuer Kunden, um die Marktdurchdringung zu fördern und das Umsatzwachstum zu beschleunigen. Der Inside Sales Specialist muss durch einen beratenden Verkaufsstil schnell eine Beziehung zu den Kunden aufbauen und Vertrauen und Glaubwürdigkeit schaffen, um Verkaufschancen zum Abschluss zu bringen. Der Inside Sales Specialist wird von dem Team Lead und anderen internen Abteilungen unterstützt und angeleitet; es ist jedoch zwingend erforderlich, dass er eine Mentalität der Selbstständigkeit an den Tag legt und in der Lage ist, sein eigenes Vertriebsgeschäft zu führen und aufzubauen. Basierend auf den Trends und Bedürfnissen des Solarmarktes leiten Sie sowohl strategische als auch taktische Marketingaktivitäten, um den Marktzugang zu verbessern, die Produktakzeptanz zu erhöhen, unsere Verkaufsziele zu erreichen und die Rentabilität zu maximieren.

VERANTWORTLICHKEITEN:
  • Durchführung gezielter Outbound-Anrufe und E-Mail-Kampagnen zur Ermittlung und Qualifizierung potenzieller Leads, wobei ein proaktiver Ansatz zur Lead-Generierung verfolgt wird. Bearbeitung eingehender Leads zur Qualifizierung und Umwandlung in Verkaufschancen.
  • Sie dokumentieren und pflegen Kundeninteraktionen und -aktivitäten im CRM-System und sorgen für genaue und aktuelle Aufzeichnungen, die zu einem effektiven Pipeline-Management und zur strategischen Entscheidungsfindung beitragen.
  • Zusammenarbeit mit funktionsübergreifenden Teams, wie z.B. Marketing und Commercial Operations, um effektive Strategien für die Lead-Generierung zu entwickeln und zu implementieren und einen kohärenten und abgestimmten Ansatz für Vertriebsinitiativen zu gewährleisten.
  • Sie verfügen über ein umfassendes Verständnis der OTT-Produkt- und Serviceangebote und bleiben über Aktualisierungen, Funktionen und Branchentrends auf dem Laufenden, um potenziellen Kunden ihre Wertvorstellungen effektiv zu vermitteln.
  • Erzielung von Ergebnissen durch Erreichen und Übertreffen der monatlichen und vierteljährlichen Verkaufs- und Buchungsziele durch eine Kombination aus Lead-Qualifizierung, Beziehungsaufbau, Zusammenarbeit im Verkaufsteam und effektiven Verkaufstechniken.

Qualifikationen:
  • 1-3 Jahre Erfahrung im B2B-Direktvertrieb, vorzugsweise auf dem Solarenergiemarkt. Erfahrung im Vertrieb und in der Entwicklung von Vertriebspartnern ist ein Plus.
  • Ein Abschluss in einem Management- oder naturwissenschaftlichen Bereich wie Umweltwissenschaften, hydrologische und meteorologische Studien, Ingenieurwesen, Wirtschaft oder ein gleichwertiger Abschluss ist von Vorteil.
  • Eine formale Vertriebsausbildung mit Erfahrung im wert- und fragebasierten Verkauf ist von Vorteil.
  • Muss Kenntnisse im Umgang mit einem CRM-Tool für Trichtermanagement und Prognosen nachweisen.
  • Sie sollten bereit und in der Lage sein, 2 bis 3 Wochen pro Jahr zu reisen und einen gültigen Führerschein und ein einwandfreies Führungszeugnis besitzen.
