Virginia State Police is seeking to hire an Oracle OEBS Developer at State Police Headquarters in North Chesterfield, Virginia. You will be responsible for our Oracle Applications Framework including JDeveloper and systems analysis, design, development, and application problem resolution and support. You will develop and support automated financial systems such as general ledger (GL), accounts payable (AP), Accounts receivables (AR), human resources (HR), Windows operating systems, Oracle databases and commands, and system processes and production workflows. You will work on an existing SCRUM team and will participate in all agile events established by the team. You will also join your team in continuous improvement activities like the internal "Good to Great" agile initiative. •Designs, implements, and administers ERP applications.
•Sets up and maintains application security, and assignment of responsibilities and roles.
•Ensures appropriate set-up and security decisions are made for the database by working with the Database Administrator.
•Assists in the installation of the ERP applications on the user PCs.
•Performs system analysis including requirements definition, conceptual/detail design, conversion/implementation planning, system administration, and system documentation.
•Develops functional expertise of organizational units supported.
•Develops custom functionality utilizing PL/SQL and Oracle Applications Framework including JDeveloper.
•Develops reports utilizing SQL queries and Oracle Discoverer.
•Ensures Agile Principles are followed within the team to help increase speed and quality of delivery and improve alignment across projects.
•Ensures the following Agile Manifesto guidelines for VSP are put into practice.
•Follows Scrum methodology that suits project/team.
•Participates in Agile Ceremonies.
•Works as a team to improve/enhance the seven patterns of Agile.
•Participates in Team building exercises.
•Strives to be self-organizing and Cross Functional.
•Keeps up to date on programming languages and technology related to the IT industry.
•Assists and provides direction to co-workers in using new techniques and in solving their more complex technical problems.
Minimum Qualifications
•Considerable knowledge and experience with Oracle Applications Framework including applications development and systems analysis, design, and application problem resolution and support; and of technical knowledge of automated financial systems such as general ledger (GL), accounts payable (AP), Accounts receivables (AR), human resources (HR), Windows operating systems, Oracle databases and commands, and system processes and production workflows.
•Demonstrated ability to define user requirements, design and develop solutions, and ensure technical documentation is completed and maintained; to provide ongoing technical support, design, documentation, and implementation of various work flow processes and solutions for Oracle EBS application; to set up and maintain application security, responsibilities and roles; to provide communication on change management, and ongoing maintenance; to coordinate between clients and internal Information Technology enterprise support to ensure compliance; to actively communicate with internal team members, management and end users; to work independently and interact effectively in a team environment; and to communicate and interact effectively with management, users, information technology personnel, and vendors in English both orally, and in writing.
•Graduation from high school or equivalent.
•Experience with Oracle applications required.
Additional Considerations
•Expertise with Oracle eBusiness Suite, GL, AP, AR, and HR modules and PL/SQL highly desirable.
