Products and Sectors Regulation- Energy Supply Team�
Our Energy Supply team is at the forefront of shaping a sustainable energy future. As part of the wider Products and Sectors Regulation team, we're helping to shape a sustainable energy future by enforcing rigorous standards for heat networks, electric vehicle charging, and more. Our mission is to enable the creation of a thriving energy market where businesses can innovate and consumers benefit from a reliable, affordable, and environmentally friendly supply. We achieve this by implementing rigorous, yet proportionate regulations aligned with the Regulators' Code.�
Heat Networks: A Catalyst for Change
Heat network legislation is critical component to the UK achieving the net zero goals. By mandating energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions from communal and district heating systems, we're accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy. To ensure transparency and consumer protection, heat network operators must register their networks with OPSS and guarantee accurate billing through the installation of heat meters where necessary.�

As an Enforcement Manager for our Heat Networks team, you'll be at the forefront of shaping a sustainable energy future. Your work will directly contribute to reducing carbon emissions, protecting consumers, and promoting a thriving energy market. By ensuring compliance with industry regulations, you'll play a vital role in building a cleaner, more equitable, and resilient energy landscape for generations to come.
Leading a team of enforcement officers and technical experts, you will be responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive operational plans, including financial management and performance reporting.�
What will you be doing?�
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of heat networks by:�
Driving the transition to net zero by developing and implementing robust technical standards and regulations to protect consumers and ensure accurate heat metering.�Leading proactive and reactive enforcement activities to guarantee industry compliance with legal requirements and provide expert guidance to support business improvement.�Building deep industry knowledge to optimise regulatory strategy and empower your team to deliver exceptional results.�Fostering effective collaboration across the organisation to ensure consistent regulatory practices and meet evolving policy needs.�Delivering essential regulatory services, including responding to inquiries, providing expert advice to government, and supporting the development of new legislation.�Undertake a full range of enforcement activities as required by the Heat Network (Metering and Billing) Regulations to ensure compliance and protect consumer interests.Person specification
