About the Opportunity:

As part of our ongoing growth in Energy Transition, Nuclear Decommissioning & Defence sector, we are seeking a Programme Director - Enterprise Solutions to lead our growth and delivery capability across the biggest and most challenging major projects and programmes that 'move the needle' for the sector, for our clients and for Jacobs.

The purpose of this role is to strategically position Jacobs in the successful appointment and delivery of major capital projects and programmes. The role will lead the growth of our capabilities and capacity through our existing talent and acquisition of sector differentiators to access new markets and geographies.

Our Programme Directors are working leaders for our delivery capability and clients in establishing the strategy, direction, and oversight for the successful identification and execution of major projects and programmes across all areas of Energy Transition, Defence and Nuclear Decommissioning portfolio. Programme Directors are part of executing growth strategies with our growth & sales teams. Operating in a Programme Leadership role, you will provide vision and direction to use our collective ability to deliver client solutions that benefit our people and planet. The role is agile, responding to the needs of the market, and you'll find yourself in a mixture of external and internal positions, working with a network of senior global leaders in:
  • Growing our Major Programmes development and delivery capability;
  • Providing excellent leadership of our team, look after their wellbeing, and enable their growth and development so that we are the employer of choice for Major Programmes professionals;
  • Delivering excellent performance for all our clients;
  • Ensuring sustained growth of our business and deliver sustainable profitability;


Here's What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience in advising clients in delivering complex and transformation programmes or change programmes;
  • Proven experience in program pursuit and delivery leadership, particularly in major projects. Energy transition, defence and nuclear decommissioning experience will be highly regarded;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders;
  • In-depth knowledge of solution integration including strategic planning, Program Management Office, digital transformation, sustainability & decarbonization, engineering, social value & strategic advisory and the ability to identify and implement opportunities for their application;
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and quality standards within the project environment and awareness of UK Health and Safety Legislation;
  • Candidates should be a UK National with SC level Security clearance and/or an ability and willingness to be enhanced;
  • Experience of managing cross-functional teams in a highly regulated environment;
  • Degree qualified in appropriate engineering or management subject and membership of a relevant professional body such as APM or an engineering institution.
