The Governing Board and Head Teacher of Abbott Community Primary School are seeking to appoint a passionate leader, who is outstanding, inspirational and motivated, to improve the outcomes for our children.

The ideal candidate will work alongside the Head Teacher to continue to drive standards and take the school to its next level.

There will be a teaching commitment to the post.

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged.

We are looking for a Deputy Head Teacher who:

Can communicate the schools vision and drive the strategic leadership, empowering all pupils and staff to excel Can lead by example with integrity, creativity, resilience, and clarity drawing on your own scholarship, expertise and skills, and of those around you Is an inspirational and outstanding classroom practitioner who leads by example and who motivates, inspires and challenges staff and children to be passionate about their learning Has a proven track record of raising achievement and developing children to be confident and compassionate Has very high expectations of all and will inspire, challenge and encourage staff to achieve the best outcomes for themselves and our pupils, enabling them to reach their full potential Is innovative and forward thinking with a progressive vision for school improvement through clear communication and has a can-do attitude Is able to take a strategic role in curriculum development and improving teaching and learning   Is an experienced leader who is able to confidently deputise for the Head Teacher  Can lead ECT teachers through their programme of study  Will be a DSL in support of our safeguarding of children  Is able to support staff in their development
