We are looking for a Business Development & Preconstruction Manager to join our Cementation team in Doncaster or Watford.
What you'll do:
- Provides functional leadership and direction to the preconstruction team responsible for securing sustainable revenue in specialist geotechnical and related non-specialist scope.
- To identify, pursue and secure sustainable revenue for multiple business streams, including major projects and portfolios of smaller projects across geographical region.
- Proactively maintain and develop customer relationships and undertake targeted business development activities across multiple business streams.
- Oversee the execution of the end-to-end capture and bid management processes from initial opportunity assessment, to bid submission for a portfolio of complex geotechnical projects, including bid management, estimating activities and governance.
- Drive business development and preconstruction efforts, collaborating with internal teams to identify opportunities, develop proposals, and secure contracts while ensuring accurate cost estimation and bid management.
- Extensive experience in preconstruction management within construction industry, probably handling complex geotechnical projects.
- Able to maintain and strengthen relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of geotechnical civil engineering is necessary. Experience of related construction disciplines (eg ground works, substructures, steel fabrication).
- Ability to contribute to tactical planning and implementation.
- Able to manage teams and stakeholders internally and externally.
