Eligibility 

This role is open to House of Commons, Parliamentary Digital Service and R&R Client Team employees only. 

Introduction  

Customer Experience and Service Delivery (CE&SD) supports the delivery of the House Administration Strategy, providing Members, passholders and the public with consistently excellent services that make Parliament happen. CE&SD comprises eight diverse teams which keep Parliament clean, safe and operational, consisting of Catering, Retail, Service Delivery, Customer Services, Porterage and Storage, Workplace Project Management, Accommodation and Logistics. In addition, CE&SD oversee bicameral contract management for a wide range of parliamentary services, such as Cleaning Services, Westminster Gym, Nursery, Hairdressers, and the Offsite Consolidation Centre. 

The Role  

This role will be based within the Accommodation Team, specifically working to the Members’ Accommodation Manager, but as part of a wider team of nine colleagues. You will report to the Members’ Accommodation Manager and work collaboratively with other members of the team. 

Some of the responsibilities for this role include:

• Leading on high-quality planning, administrative and delivery support for the Accommodation General Election Workstream. 

• Lead on the development of processes that are clear, support and enable our delivery partners to provide excellent customer service to Members, and to meet overall GEPG objectives and KPIs.

• Preparing materials, set agendas, and when required deliver, GE Workshop sessions with a range of stakeholders and delivery partners, relating to preparation for and clean-up after the General Election. 

• Owning relevant risks, benefits, and action registers for the Accommodation General Election Workstream, assessing the risks and ensuring are raised to corporate or central risk registers where required, and making relevant decisions on how to mitigate or transfer risks at this level

• Leading on the development of processes for all aspects of the Accommodation workstream that are clear, support and enable our delivery partners to provide excellent customer service to Members, noting requirements to meet overall GEPG objectives and KPIs.

Skills and Experience  

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure, while still delivering to tight deadlines, together with a ‘can-do’ attitude. An understanding of how to adapt communication for stakeholders at all levels, including managing different stakeholder priorities, and the ability to keep communication effective using a range of techniques.  An ability to build constructive relationships with stakeholders at all levels, with experience of persuading and influencing.
