The role is based on the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub City wide service. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will have an excellent working knowledge, and significant understanding of the Care Act(in particular provisions relating to Safeguarding Adults) and associated legislation and policy including Making Safeguarding Personal. Need to be a good problem solver and decision maker, especially in dealing with immediate problems of a highly complex nature. Need to be someone who is able to work and manage in what can be a busy and sometimes pressurised environment, whilst ensuring the management of safeguarding risk effectively, working within a multi agency environment whilst providing a professional social work service.

Key Responsibilities:

Working knowledge of relevant legislation and policies to safeguard individuals within Manchester.

Accurately assessing the needs of individuals, supporting those people and sign posting as appropriate.

Ability to work autonomously and independently.

Participating in training, supervision, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in social care practice.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified Social Worker, Strong understanding of Social Care legislation, policies, and procedures, with the ability to apply legal frameworks in complex situations. Excellent communication both written and verbal. Interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with individuals. Ability to work collaboratively with partner agencies and demonstrate empathy, compassion, and cultural competence in all interactions. Ability to work independently. Desirable experience to have worked on a Multi Agency Safeguarding Team
