Your Role:

As a Conference and Review Support Officer, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive coordination and support to Child Protection Conferences and Children Looked After Reviews. Your exceptional customer service skills will be key in interacting with parents and multi-agency professionals during emotionally charged meetings. You will be responsible for distributing and collating important documents, ensuring accurate minute-taking, and recording outcomes on the case management system. By fulfilling your statutory duties, you will contribute to the well-being of vulnerable children within our client's organisation.

Key Tasks:

  • Arrange the dates, locations, and preparations for Child Protection Case Conferences and Children Looked After Reviews
  • Collaborate with family members and multi-agency partner representatives in these crucial meetings
  • Ensure the timely collation and distribution of essential documents to professionals and families
  • Create accurate and professional minutes, which may be reviewed by external bodies and courts
  • Analyse and validate service specific information, requesting additional details when necessary
  • Enter and retrieve confidential information using computer packages and systems
  • Retrieve and update information from various systems/spreadsheets, manipulate data, and create non-standard reports
  • Assist in the development and introduction of new office and information systems
  • Provide exceptional customer care and demonstrate anti-discriminatory practise
  • Respond to complex queries, utilising your developed knowledge and understanding of the service area
  • Formulate routine responses and acknowledgements to correspondence and take initiative on behalf of the service
  • Carry out complaint investigations in line with corporate procedures and escalate as required
  • Work flexibly and efficiently to meet competing and changing priorities while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes and identify training requirements
  • Act in accordance with statutory practise standards
