About this opportunity

Our Housing Options Team works with customers in the South Lakeland area who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and require assistance. It is a busy team that operates alongside a wide range of stakeholders and the work is both challenging and rewarding. The Accommodation Support Officer is a vital role within the team, providing support to customers in temporary or insecure accommodation and offering them assistance to secure more suitable housing. The role will require excellent customer service skills, collaborative working and an ability to prioritise a fluctuating caseload.

The working hours will be Monday to Friday; out of hours working may be required. The selected candidate will need to maintain confidentiality about service users, staff and the Authority, promote equality of opportunity and a respect for diversity and will be required to consent to an Enhanced (with lists) Disclosure and Barring Service check and hold a full UK driving licence.
