Job Purpose: As an FRA Validator, you will play a crucial role in validating fire risk assessments for both low/medium risk buildings internally and high-risk buildings outsourced externally. Your responsibilities include implementing robust quality control measures, ensuring assessments meet national standards, and maintaining our 'Certificated Organization' status.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate documented fire risk assessments, ensuring they are suitable and compliant.
  • Support the implementation of effective Fire Risk Assessment Validation procedures.
  • Conduct on-site audits and desktop validations.
  • Maintain records of validation processes and provide feedback to stakeholders.
  • Support external audits and investigations, ensuring adherence to standards.
  • Produce clear and informative reports on compliance and performance.

Person Specification:

  • Essential: Demonstrated competency as per Fire Sector Federation criteria for Fire Risk Assessors and experience in validating FRAs.
  • Knowledge of quality assessment frameworks and PAS 79 application.
  • Ability to perform site visits and physical inspections.
  • NEBOSH Fire Certificate/Diploma or equivalent.
  • In-depth understanding of Fire & Building Safety regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders effectively.

Desirable:

  • Experience with BAFE Accreditation SP205 and fire safety system maintenance.
  • Membership in a Third-Party Accreditation Scheme (e.g., MIFE).
