In the English Language Learning business unit, we aspire to become the world's leading destination to learn and prove English language skills. Our main focus is on committed learners from around the world, who are motivated by outcomes because they want to reach their full potential through learning English.

The opportunity

Our English language assessments are used by individual learners, governments, academic institutions, professional bodies, parents and teachers to make key decisions affecting the future careers and aspirations of test takers all over the world. We are seeking a versatile Project Manager whose main focus will be to support the development of existing products in market, as well as bring further new products to market. Key to the role will be maintaining relationships with Government clients (often through bidding and tendering processes) and helping ensure our PTE delivery plans are met, using first-hand knowledge and expertise to fuel the next exciting stage of our growth. The role-holder will also assume responsibility for additional projects that develop or maintain our licences to operate/compete and ensure our regulatory and legal compliance.

You will be:

  • an effective and assured Project Manager with excellent project management skills and strong leadership qualities
  • comfortable working in a complex, global, matrix stakeholder environment, working across time-zones and different organisational units
  • an expert, qualified Project Manager (e.g. PMI/PMP/PRINCE2 Practitioner, PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner (or equivalent)) qualified, with significant, proven experience of successful project delivery
  • knowledgeable (or qualified) in the management of Agile, lean, rapid product prototyping, etc. techniques

The role-holder will additionally:

  • have a strong governance mindset, able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of project stakeholders
  • have experience working in early product lifecycle (from idea to initial commercialisation) and/or in a dynamic market where change is constant
  • exhibit flexibility, with strong prioritisation skills and ability to respond quickly to manage emergent issues

The role-holder will report to the Senior Director, Government Recognitions and Portfolio Delivery (English Assessment) and take on responsibility for the detailed planning, co-ordination and execution of assigned product development and product delivery work. The role-holder will also be expected to work seamlessly with a 5-6 member team of Project Managers/specialists that also work within the Quality & Projects unit on other projects and special assignments. We look forward to receiving your application and meeting you for an interview
